Highland View

Highland View homes and real estate

Highland View is a small neighborhood north of Port St. Joe across the highway 98 Highland View Bridge. Its still part of Port St. Joe but is considered its own little community. It has a couple of schools, churches, services, and amenities as well as a couple of residential communities. Most of the neighborhood of Highland View is commercial but just north along Highway 98 are several waterfront properties, beautiful homes, and cottages, still with the Port St. Joe address but more in the Highland View neighborhood neighborhood

Properties range from about $40,000-$150,000 and there are several lots and parcels of land, making it a great spot to build a home. This unincorporated community in Gulf County is got its name from the fact that 8 feet above sea level it is significantly higher than the neighboring town of Port St. Joe, which is just 3 feet above sea level. Because of this, a few homes that border Highway 98 have ocean views however, most don’t as they sit a little far back from the highway.

Because these homes are located near St. Joseph Bay, they make a great opportunity for an investment property or rental. Whether it’s a starter home, your downsizing, or looking to build your portfolio, the homes in Highland View were built between the 1970s to today. As of the publishing of this page, rental estimates are between $600 and $1000.

Residents are part of the Gulf school district and are served by Port St. Joe elementary school for grades prekindergarten through 6 and the Port St. Joe high school, for grades 7 there 12.

Highland View also has its own fire department as well as several amenities, a few shops, and businesses.

If you’d like to know more about Highland View contact our office today. There are several homes surrounding the small unincorporated community or if you’d like an investment property or commercial spot in Highland View, browse available listings or contact our office to schedule a showing.
