Indian Pass

Indian Pass/CR30A is located at the extreme west end of Apalachicola Bay where it flows into the Gulf of Mexico. This confluence of fresh and saltwater creates one the most fertile estuarine areas of the world. While the area was inhabited by Native Americans for thousands of years and settled by the early European explorers, modern civilization has conveniently skipped us over.

Florida's "Forgotten Coast"

Long known as Florida’s “Forgotten Coast”, most of the inhabitants here have fins or feathers. No high rises or motels but miles of unspoiled beaches, succulent oysters, world class fishing and spectacular sunsets. Beachcombers are greeted by miles of shells, fossilized shark teeth and pottery shards from our earliest inhabitants.

It is a coastal community known for its beautiful marshes, lush vegetation and beaches along with the Indian Lagoon. It boasts single family homes, cottages, new construction and newly- developed sites with managed density. Much like Cape San Blas, if you are looking for a high-rise condo complex, you won’t find one around here. Indian Pass has primarily single family homes used for either residences or vacation rentals. Commercial activity is restricted to the boat ramp at the end of Indian Pass.

Indian Pass/CR30A

Indian Pass/CR30A public boat ramp is the choice spot for many anglers, as it provides a quick trip out to the deep blue! This area also is the home to the Indian Pass Campground. In addition, just across a narrow waterway from the ramp is St. Vincent National Wildlife Refuge on St. Vincent Island. You can hop on the ferry and experience true, untouched nature. St. Vincent Island is also the home of the Sambar Deer. Hunters who are lucky to make the list get to experience an annual hunt like no other.

One of the favorite activities on Indian Pass/CR30A is surf fishing – expect to catch flounder and pompano. With very little practice, you can also enjoy crabbing.

One would be remiss when talking about Indian Pass/CR30A to not mention the Indian Pass Raw Bar. The Raw Bar is the home of some of the finest raw and baked oysters around! It is a “can’t miss” on your next stay in the area.
