St. Joseph Peninsula State Park
The full name of the park is actually T.H. Stone Memorial St. Joseph Peninsula Park. The south part of the park is currently open as the rest is continually being restored after the large devastation of Hurricane Michael. Though part of the park is closed the remaining open area on the south is the perfect place to kayak, paddleboard, swim, snorkel, and look for shells on the beach. It is also a great bird-watching spot with several species of nesting birds along the coastline. It will easily become your go to spot when you are here.
St. Joseph Bay Buffer Preserve
This nature preserve is home to several bald eagles and other impressive native birds. Stop in to the visitor center to learn about the history of the area and current interesting facts. There are several trails for those who love to hike, bike, take a trail ride on horseback, or just meander through the area observing local wildlife. The preserve also offers tram tours on specific days throughout the year.

Port St. Joe Bay
This is a very fun spot to get out and kayak on the water. If you want to learn more about the bay you can take a kayak tour. It is a great calm and relaxing way to enjoy the waters of Port St. Joe.
